Purpose of the Site

This is a private reference site, not an official Brown County service. It does not keep government jail, court, or booking records and cannot verify custody, release a person, post a bond, or file documents on a visitor’s behalf.

Its role is limited to directing visitors toward relevant inmate, jail, court, and public-record resources in Brown County and to independently operated research tools. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office, the Brown County Jail Division, WI DOC, federal agencies, and courts remain separate record custodians.

Permitted Use

• Use the site only in a lawful manner.
• Do not use information from the site to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone.
• Do not make a hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or similar screening decision from site material.
• Do not try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its systems, or connected services.
• Do not deploy bots, scrapers, automated queries, or other tools that burden the site without written permission.
• Do not interfere with another visitor’s access or with site operations.

FCRA Restriction

Brown County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and does not prepare consumer reports, background checks, or credit reports. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides consumer-screening services. You agree not to use information from this site or a linked tool for a purpose governed by the FCRA, including:

• hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions;
• tenant, housing, or roommate screening;
• creditworthiness, lending, or insurance-premium decisions;
• licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility; or
• any other activity regulated by the FCRA.

Linked Services

The site may link to official jail rosters, booking and records-request portals, sheriff and corrections pages, court systems, legal resources, federal locators, and independent search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control the accuracy, availability, content, data handling, prices, or terms of a linked service, so review that service’s own policies before using it.

Information Provided As Is

The site is supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• the accuracy, completeness, or currency of information;
• uninterrupted or error-free availability;
• that the site is free from defects, vulnerabilities, or harmful components; or
• the completeness or suitability of results returned by a partner tool.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing on this site is an official statement by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office or another government agency. Wisconsin’s public-records provisions, including Wis. Stat. §§ 19.31–19.39 and § 19.35, govern government-record access rather than this private guide.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brown County Busted Mugshots and its owners, operators, and partners are not liable for damages arising from or related to use of, inability to use, or reliance on this site or a linked resource.

Your Responsibility

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brown County Busted Mugshots and its owners, operators, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your use of the site or your violation of these terms.

Intellectual Property

The site’s original text, graphics, logos, layout, and code are owned by Brown County Busted Mugshots or its content partners and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may not copy, distribute, alter, or republish them without prior written permission, except where law allows otherwise.

Term Updates

We may change these terms at any time. Revised terms take effect when posted on this page.

Access May Be Limited

We may suspend, restrict, or end access to the site at any time, for any reason, and without notice.

Wisconsin Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any dispute must be brought in a court located within Wisconsin, subject to applicable law.

Severability

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. The affected provision will be modified only to the limited extent necessary to make it enforceable.
